2/25/2026 Choosing Your First Dental Job: Understanding Practice Models and Making Confident Career Decisions
About This Event
This one-hour webinar guides dental students and early-career dentists through the most common practice models they will encounter, including corporate dentistry, private practice, and group practices. Through real-world insight and personal experience, attendees will learn the pros and cons of each setting, questions to ask during interviews, and practical strategies for finding a work environment that supports both clinical growth and personal well-being. The goal is to provide clarity, reduce early-career uncertainty, and help participants make informed, confident decisions about where to practice.
Course Objectives:
• Compare major dental practice models and understand how each impacts clinical development, autonomy, and work culture.
• Identify key questions to ask during interviews to evaluate mentorship, expectations, compensation, and support systems.
• Recognize common early-career challenges and learn practical approaches to choosing jobs that align with personal values and long-term goals.
