Clinical Tips and Tricks for Enjoyable and Efficient Endodontic Treatment
About This Event
This course, led by Dr. Rodrigo Sanches Cunha, focuses on integrating key technologies and clinical protocols to improve efficiency and outcomes in everyday endodontic procedures. Topics include use of the dental operating microscope for enhanced visibility and conservative access, three-dimensional imaging for assessment of complex anatomy and diagnosis, electric motors with rotary/reciprocating files for safer glidepath and shaping, advanced irrigation protocols for effective disinfection, and contemporary materials/devices for three-dimensional obturation to maintain asepsis. A hands-on session allows participants to practice shaping and filling protocols with real-time feedback. Agenda (Day 1): 7:30 am Registration; 8:00 am–12:00 pm Programming; 12:00 pm–1:00 pm Lunch; 1:00 pm–4:00 pm Programming.
Learning Objectives
- Recognize the value of three-dimensional imaging in assessing dental anatomy prior to endodontic treatment
- Compare advantages and limitations of rotary and reciprocating instruments for canal shaping
- Implement an effective irrigation protocol to achieve optimal disinfection
- Evaluate and apply devices and materials to achieve three-dimensional obturation and maintain a sterile environment.
