About This Event
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for victims of all ages, including ventilation with barrier devices, bag mask devices, and oxygen; use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO). This course meets updated requirements for licensure and is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients — certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals. Presented by Shane Driver NRP, FP-C of Emergency Services Education & Consulting (ESEC, LLC).
Learning Objectives
- Demonstrate adult, child, and infant CPR
- Perform ventilations using barrier devices and bag-mask devices
- Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Recognize and manage foreign body airway obstruction
- Meet updated licensure requirements for BLS healthcare providers.
