Digital Workflows in Physiologic Dentistry
About This Event
This course teaches components and workflows of a complete physiologic case from initial scans through Phase I and Phase II to porcelain cementation. Topics include intra-oral scanning, full scope of 3D printing, digital bite transfers, digital stabilization splint design, reduction guides, bite registration techniques, joint decompression appliances, digital orthotic design, digital physiologic bite transfers, and additive manufacturing concepts for orthotics, stabilization splints, and temporaries. The course modularizes each step in the physiologic case protocol so participants can selectively implement digitization in their offices according to their experience and available technology.
Learning Objectives
- Digitally scan a physiologic bite.
- Digitally design a Stabilization Splint for 3D Printing
- Discuss the principles of digitally designing a fixed orthotic
- Complete a digital physiologic bite transfer of an existing orthotic
- Discuss additive manufacturing concepts associated with 3D printing for orthotics, stabilization splints, and temporaries.
- Merge Intra-Oral Scans in design software to better prepare for full-mouth, full-arch, or veneer preparation.
