
Domestic Violence (2 CEU) Due Every Third Biennium
About This Event
The course is designed to increase awareness among dental professionals regarding domestic violence so that they may better serve patients who may be experiencing domestic violence. Participants will learn about the nature, prevalence, and types of domestic violence; indicators and consequences of domestic violence; trauma-informed health care, and implications for practice, including how to interact with victims of domestic violence and use of screening tools. Instructor: Laura Bennett, Title IX Coordinator & Managing Director for Title IX Compliance and Institutional Response to Sexual Misconduct at Nova Southeastern University. Lecture: CE Hours – 2.
