Ethical Dilemmas in Patient Care

This live webinar uses real-world scenarios to help dental professionals navigate complex moral and clinical situations. Participants will analyze multiple case studies to identify fundamental ethical principles (patient autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice), evaluate conflicts between principles, assess roles and perspectives of stakeholders (patient, dental team, practice), and learn to apply core elements of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and excellence to promote integrity and quality patient care. The session includes case-based analysis, identification of core principles, evaluation of conflicts, stakeholder assessment, and application of professional standards.

- Identify and analyze the ethical principles involved in individual case reviews.
- Evaluate situations in which multiple ethical principles may apply and distinguish how these principles can come into conflict in clinical decision-making involving patient-care.
