Expanding Horizons: Zygomatic and Pterygoid Implant Evaluation Using Wide-Frame CBCT
About This Event
Participants will be guided through case examples highlighting how larger field-of-view CBCTs enhance visualization of critical structures such as the zygomatic buttress, pterygoid plates, and sinus boundaries. The discussion will include radiographic landmarks, implant trajectory planning, prosthetic emergence considerations, and risk management strategies for the posterior maxilla. Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will be able to: • Identify the anatomic and radiographic landmarks critical to successful zygomatic and pterygoid implant planning • Understand the advantages of wide-frame CBCT imaging in evaluating extra-maxillary implant sites • Recognize the prosthetic implications of implant trajectory and emergence profile in full-arch rehabilitation • Implement CBCT-based workflows to safely plan zygomatic and pterygoid implant cases.
