The number of dental implant surgeries in people over the age of 75 has significantly increased. Older individuals want a better quality of life. As people age, there may be greater risks associated with implant placement and maintenance. This presentation discusses considerations and adaptations necessary for successful implant outcomes for the older patient, assessing how age-related changes affect oral, bone, and medical health and how this impacts implant treatment planning and maintenance.
