Introduction to Non-Surgical and Surgical Facial Cosmetics
About This Event
This course will start with an overall facial esthetic evaluation including relevant anatomy of the skin, soft tissue and hard tissues. This course will largely focus on the topics of non-surgical facial cosmetic care related to skin resurfacing, use of neuromodulators (i.e. Botox) and facial fillers to accomplish patient esthetic goals. Additionally, this course will touch on use of neuromodulators in patients with myofascial pain related to temporomandibular disorders and clenching. Indications and treatment related to surgical facial cosmetics will also be introduced. Attendees will not be certified injector through this course which must be obtained through the chosen injectable company. However, this course will provide learners with the opportunity to have a solid foundation in these topics which may not be provided through the injector certification process.
Objectives:
– Establish foundational knowledge related to relevant facial anatomy and indications for neuromodulator (i.e. botox) injections;
– Establish foundational knowledge relevant to facial anatomy and indications for facial fillers;
– Establish foundational knowledge and indications for various forms of skin resurfacing procedures;
– Establish foundational knowledge related to indications for surgical facial cosmetic procedures.
