Mastering Resin Composites and Adhesion: A Two-Day Practical Workshop
About This Event
Day 1: In-depth, clinically oriented lectures covering adhesion science, bonding techniques, shade selection, proximal contacts for posterior restorations, and cavity preparation principles. Day 2: Hands-on exercises including resin veneers (preparation, placement, contouring, polishing), anterior cut-back technique (multi-color, multi-opacity, halo effect, translucency), and posterior composite restorations (material placement, anatomy, proximal contacts, occlusion using bands, wedges, rings). Live step-by-step demonstrations followed by participant practice under expert guidance. By completion attendees will have practical skills for esthetic anterior and posterior composite restorations and improved confidence in adhesive protocols and polishing/contouring techniques.
Learning Objectives
- Identify how to achieve the best possible bond and create sensitivity-free restorations using effective universal adhesive protocols
- Choose the perfect shade to integrate seamlessly with natural teeth
- Understand when to layer, use monochromatic composites, or choose single-shade materials
- Understand cavity design principles that enhance function and aesthetics
- Explore advancements in composite materials and placement techniques (layering and bulk fill)
- Master contouring strategies to mimic natural tooth anatomy and achieve high-gloss polishing.
