No More Crowning Around: Mastering Crown Lengthening
About This Event
A deficiency in clinical crown for proper fixed restoration can be caused by dental caries and sub-gingival fractures. Crown lengthening procedures, including osseous resective therapy and soft-tissue management, help obtain ferrule height and establish biologic width. This workshop provides rationale, diagnosis and treatment planning knowledge plus hands-on experience. The program includes 3 hours of didactic lecture and 3 hours of hands-on practice with pig jaw specimens to practice full and split thickness flap preparation, resective osseous surgery, and suturing. Teaching methods: lecture, participation, hands-on workshop. Instruments will be provided. Recommended for general dentists and specialists.
