About This Event
Opioid Update and Substance Use Disorders, Mental Health, and Burnout for the Provider — a live, in-person continuing education course presented by the NC Dental Society. This course provides updates on opioid prescribing, identification and management of substance use disorders, strategies to recognize and address mental health issues and burnout among providers, and practical steps to stay compliant with licensure requirements. Attendees will connect with colleagues in the Triangle and receive CE credit from an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.

- Review current opioid prescribing guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Identify and manage substance use disorders in dental patients
- Recognize signs of provider mental health decline and burnout and apply coping/mitigation strategies
