About This Event

An engaging and interactive Pediatric Dentistry Workshop for general dentists. Combines specialist-led lectures and practical hands-on sessions covering diagnosis and treatment planning, preventive dentistry, minimally invasive procedures (SDF, SMART, resin infiltration, Hall technique), interceptive orthodontics, class II composite restorations for primary teeth, pulpotomies and pulp treatments, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers, and pediatric clinical case discussions. Includes breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks and a CE certificate.

Learning Objectives

  • Establish diagnosis and treatment plans based on clinical and radiographic evaluation
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient factors and parent expectations
  • Determine which pediatric patients/treatments are appropriate for a general dentist vs referral
  • Understand preventive techniques and discuss anticipatory guidance with families
  • Understand theory and perform minimally invasive pediatric treatments (SDF, SMART, resin infiltration, Hall technique)
  • Understand indications, perform and troubleshoot class II restorations, pulpotomies, and stainless steel crowns for primary teeth
  • Understand indications, technique, prognosis and follow-up of space maintainers and assess interceptive orthodontic needs
