Join us for the Research Seminar Series featuring Dr. Shailesh Agarwal, assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and associate surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Agarwal’s research explores lymphedema, post-injury inflammation, and innovative approaches to programming adipose tissue to express therapeutics for clinical translation. About the speaker: Dr. Agarwal is an associate surgeon in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed an eight-year plastic surgery residency and microvascular fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System. He later returned to the University of Chicago for additional fellowship training and is board-certified in plastic surgery. His clinical philosophy centers on understanding each patient’s goals and designing safe, personalized treatment plans. With advanced expertise in microvascular reconstruction, he offers a range of surgical options tailored to both short- and long-term outcomes. His research focuses on lymphedema, post-injury inflammation, and developing adipose tissue–based therapeutics for clinical translation.
