About This Event
This course addresses the challenges of orthodontic treatment planning, particularly for malocclusions such as skeletal Class II, Class III, deep-bite, and open-bite. Attendees will learn about advanced technologies and materials that allow for innovative treatment options, including skeletal anchorage applications and 3D-printed custom appliances. The course emphasizes the importance of customization in treatment planning and provides clinical pearls for effective case management. Participants will engage in case demonstrations to understand the impact of chosen mechanics on final occlusion and aesthetics.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES – At the end of the course, the audience will be able to:
1. Define the main components of customization in treatment planning.
2. Design efficient treatment strategies using targeted objectives with customized appliances.
3. Differentiate between traditional and miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE).
