About This Event

This course reviews ethical and legal principles important to delivery of oral health care, highlighting recent updates to the Michigan Administrative Rules and duties that can be delegated to allied health personnel. Agenda and outcomes include identification of ethical principles applicable to oral health services; description of contractual responsibilities for patient and provider; discussion of unintentional torts including negligence, informed consent/refusal, and patient abandonment; and description of current legal duties delegable to allied health personnel in Michigan.
