About This Event

This course will review ethical and legal principles important to the delivery of oral health care. Recent updates to the Michigan Administrative Rules will be highlighted including duties that can be delegated to allied health personnel. Course objectives include identifying ethical principles for oral health care; describing contractual responsibilities for patient and provider; describing unintentional torts including negligence, informed consent/refusal, and patient abandonment; and describing current legal duties that can be delegated to allied health personnel in Michigan.
