Digital Biomimetics: Patient-Specific Workflow for Immediate Implant Placement and Restoration
About This Event
This presentation introduces the advanced concept of Digital Biomimetics, a patient-centric approach to individualized implant therapy. Moving beyond one-size-fits-all protocols, the lecture details a fully integrated digital workflow (e.g., Smilecloud/Realguide) that begins with capturing and copying natural root anatomy. Dr. Karia will demonstrate how this data guides immediate implant placement and subsequent restoration, predictable planning and execution of soft tissue augmentation, digital design of ideal emergence profiles, fabrication of 3D printed socket seal abutments and immediate restorations, and establishment of a functional implant occlusion. The course reviews simple and complex clinical cases showcasing esthetic and functional outcomes and introduces objective validation methods including digital heatmaps.
