How to Optimize your Restorative Materials of Choice: Lessons from Sturdevant’s Art and Science of Operative Dentistry
About This Event
Since the introduction of the first clinically proven dental bonding agent in the early 1990s, adhesive dentistry has evolved through multiple generations of materials and techniques. This course reviews current bonding materials and strategies to address common clinical challenges such as postoperative sensitivity, restoration dislodgment, and marginal discoloration. It also covers advances in composite resin restorative materials — filler technology, consistency, optical properties, and bulk-fill capabilities — and provides evidence-based application techniques to maximize restoration performance, esthetics, and longevity. Course schedule: 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM Introduction and Bonding Agents; 9:45 AM – 10:00 AM Break; 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM Composite Resins; 10:45 AM – 11:00 AM Question and Answer.
