About This Event
This course (Caries Process, Prevention and Management: Diagnosis) introduces dental professionals to the role of caries diagnosis in disease prevention and treatment planning. It reviews visual–tactile and bitewing radiography diagnostic methods, recent advancements that improve sensitivity and their limitations, evidence-based approaches to caries diagnosis and management, considerations about too-early diagnosis, and the role of pediatricians in diagnosing caries in children. The course is part of a ten-course series revised with input from the American Academy of Cariology and provided by Procter & Gamble. Format: self-instructional. AGD Subject Code: 10.
