Implant Treatment in the Geriatric Population
About This Event
The number of dental implant surgeries in people over the age of 75 has significantly increased. Older individuals want a better quality of life. As people age, there may be greater risks associated with implant placement and maintenance. This webinar discusses considerations and adaptations necessary for successful implant outcomes for the older patient. It assesses how age-related changes affect oral, bone, and medical health and how this impacts implant treatment planning and maintenance. Educational Method: Zoom Lecture. Presented by Jenny Mathews, DDS, MS PhD. Jointly presented by the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry and the Association for Continuing Dental Education (ACDE).
