Management of Acute Pain in the Dental Office

Understanding postoperative pain might not always be as simple as one would ordinarily think. Moreover, in some cases postoperative acute pain can present in such a manner as to be confused with more than one diagnosis. The overall goals of this presentation then, are to educate the listener about variations in the presentation of postoperative pain and to provide information regarding its prevention and management. This course is an updated version of the original course Acute Pain: Management of the Whole Spectrum available in the last CDE Cycle. If the original course was claimed by an RCDSO member in Category 1 in the previous cycle, the updated version can only be claimed by that RCDSO member in Category 2 for the current cycle.
