NSU CDM Endodontics Symposium 2026

February 7, 2026 Davie, FL, US

About This Event

The NSU Endodontics Symposium provides an update on current best practices in endodontics with presentations on ergonomics, root canal disinfection (addressing in vitro vs in vivo outcomes), the value of endodontic follow-ups, and guided endodontic surgery. Sessions cover static and dynamic navigation workflows, clinical applications in anatomically compromised cases, controversies in irrigant selection/concentration/sequence, and long-term follow-up case outcomes. The program is designed to give clinicians practical, evidence-informed guidance to improve patient care and decision-making. Agenda link: PROGRAM AGENDA. Schedule: 9:00AM–5:00PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026. CE: 7 hours.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe and discuss the principles and workflow of Static and Dynamic Navigation.
  • Describe and discuss the clinical applications of Static and Dynamic navigation in anatomically compromised periapical surgical cases.
  • Redefine ergonomics as a mindset for intentional, purposeful practice.
  • Recognize how ergonomic principles foster teamwork, engagement, and growth.
  • Explore ways to transform routine clinical work into a shared pursuit of excellence.
  • Describe and discuss the limitations of Guided Surgery in specific clinical scenarios.
  • Analyze the disconnect between in vitro and clinical outcomes in root canal disinfection research, including understanding why laboratory studies and clinical trials may yield conflicting results regarding optimal irrigation protocols.
  • Evaluate the concept of 'optimal' in the context of endodontic disinfection, including the ability to critically assess different definitions and priorities when determining best practices for irrigant selection, concentration, sequence, and delivery methods.
  • Critically appraise endodontic research methodologies, including developing skills to read beyond abstracts and understand the nuances, limitations, and appropriate applications of both laboratory studies and clinical trials in evidence-based endodontic decision making.
