About This Event
The VCU School of Dentistry and the Association for Continuing Dental Education present an ACDE Webinar on prescribing antibiotics for prophylaxis. The course reviews ADA and AHA guidelines, AAOS Appropriate Use Criteria, and best practices across clinical scenarios. Topics include bacteremia-associated antibiotic prophylaxis (prevention of infective endocarditis, prevention of prosthetic joint infection, miscellaneous conditions), surgical antibiotic prophylaxis for high-risk patients, and antimicrobial resistance and antibiotic stewardship. The activity is designated for 1.50 continuing education credits by VCU School of Dentistry (ADA CERP Recognized Provider).
