ACDE Webinar Series: Dental Care for Adolescents and Adults with Special Needs

January 27, 2026 Baltimore, MD, US

About This Event

Surgical placement of dental implants has become a significant part of many dental practitioners, specialists, and generalists with all surgical procedures that can be at risk of complications. However, with recent technological advances in imaging and planning, those risks have been significantly reduced to the point that failure to employ such systems is considered evidence of substandard care. 3D imaging is directly affecting the recognition, management, and treatment of complications. This program will provide current information on the evolving standards for treatment planning, imaging, recognition, and management of complications.

Speaker: Paul Bigg, DMD — Assistant Professor and Special Care Unit Director of Special Needs Dentistry at the Saint Louis Dental Center. His expertise includes geriatric dentistry, physical disabilities, psychological conditions, and hospital dentistry. Dr. Bigg’s research focuses on cleft palate and craniofacial care, special needs dentistry, and operating room dentistry.

Course format: Live lecture and PowerPoint presentation via Zoom Webinar. Verification of attendance provided by UK College of Dentistry CE office. Recordings are not permitted. Refund and cancellation policies apply.
