Dental Hygiene Certification in Local Anesthesia Infiltration
About This Event
This is a hybrid course that includes a 20-hour didactic program for Texas-licensed dental hygienists seeking certification in local infiltration anesthesia, plus a 12-hour hands-on clinical segment where participants practice injection techniques. The course is in compliance with TSBDE Rule 115.10 and covers essential topics such as physiology, emergency procedures, pharmacology, and safety practices. The schedule includes sessions on May 2-3, 2026, with options for in-person or webinar attendance for the didactic portion, followed by a mandatory in-person clinical portion on May 9-10, 2026. Participants must attend all sessions to receive a certificate. Lunch is provided during the course, and attendees are required to practice techniques on each other, necessitating informed consent. All course materials adhere to ADA CERP standards.
