Current evidence reveals that the Human Papillomavirus/HPV now causes more oropharyngeal cancer than cervical cancer and is responsible for approximately 80% of oropharyngeal cancers. It’s essential that dental professionals share important information about HPV and oropharyngeal cancer, not only with their patients but also with their family and friends.
