HPV and Oropharyngeal Cancer: Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About
About This Event
Dentistry is continually changing, and that includes oral cancers. Current evidence reveals that the Human Papillomavirus/HPV now causes more oropharyngeal cancer than cervical cancer and is responsible for approximately 80% of oropharyngeal cancers. It’s essential that dental professionals share important information about HPV and oropharyngeal cancer, not only with their patients but also with their family and friends. During this CE webinar, we will discuss HPV, recognize potential signs and symptoms of oropharyngeal cancer, and name the anatomical structures of the oropharynx and components to an optimal screening.
