About This Event

This course will allow dental health care providers to be current with infection control and prevention protocols and guidelines. Participants will be advised on how to maintain a safe workplace environment and implement appropriate infection control measures in their practice. They will also gain understanding of common transmissible and infectious diseases and gain insight into the appropriate immunizations to prevent such diseases. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to: Be current with infection prevention recommendations by CDC and OSHA; Implement effective infection control measures in their practice; Choose appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe workplace environment; Understand current vaccination recommendations for DHCPs; Understand current infectious diseases that may impact the dental practice.
