About This Event
This course aims to enhance the understanding of HPV vaccination’s role in preventing oropharyngeal cancer. It targets dental and medical students, rural dental practices, and OHSU staff and faculty. Participants will learn about the rising rates of oropharyngeal cancer in men and the decline in cervical cancer rates due to vaccination efforts. The course includes a comprehensive overview of HPV-related cancers, national vaccination guidelines, and effective communication strategies for discussing the vaccine with patients and caregivers.
