
Radiology Certification for Dental Auxiliaries – February 2026
About This Event
This course teaches essential concepts of dental radiology for dental assistants. It includes a mandatory live lecture (Feb 5, 2026, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) and a choice of half-day or full-day in-person clinics (Feb 7–8, 2026; Clinic E Feb 14, 2026 for NH). Participants learn intra-oral and extra-oral techniques, X-ray tube and beam characteristics, radiation biology and protection, infection control, radiographic techniques, film/sensor placement (paralleling and bisecting), film processing, mounting and duplication, evaluation of radiographs including panoramic images, quality assurance, and error recognition/correction. MA clinic (half-day) includes written exam and practical exercises on manikin using digital sensors; NH full-day clinic includes additional sensor/film placement and exposure training. Course materials and exams are in English. Meets Massachusetts Board of Dentistry requirements; Clinic E meets New Hampshire requirements. Clinics held at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Parking available at 710 Albany Street, Boston MA 02118 (not covered). Participants must be 18+.
