About This Event
This course is designed for dental auxiliaries to reacquaint them with the necessary background material and fundamental principles needed for certification in radiology safety as required by Florida law. Participants will learn about intra-oral and extra-oral imaging techniques, including panoramic and CBCT. The course includes self-study via required readings and trainings, plus one weekend of in-person instruction. Students must have a minimum of three months of continuous on-the-job training in dental radiography under the supervision of a Florida licensed dentist. The course covers various objectives including radiation biology, infection control protocols, film processing, and quality assurance for both film and digital images.

- Film and sensor placement (Paralleling and bisecting the angle technique)
