Simulated Medical Emergency Training for the Dental Team
About This Event
Designed for dental office teams, this course combines didactic lectures with high-fidelity simulations to prepare your team to respond effectively to medical emergencies in a clinical setting. It emphasizes teamwork, defined roles, protocol review, armamentarium, and an 8-drug emergency kit. Attendees will experience real-time scenarios in a mock operatory, with team registrations recommended to ensure comprehensive office preparedness. Tuition is $1,250 for a 4-person dental team. Credit: Lecture: 5 hours.
Learning Objectives
- Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to: Standard of care with regards to medical emergencies for the dental offices
- Attendees will improve their recognition and understanding of medical emergencies in the dental office setting
- Coverage and simulated approaches to the management of in-office emergencies
- Review of office preparedness to include protocol, armamentarium, 8 essential emergency kit drugs
- Define a system where each member of the dental office team has a defined role during a medical emergency.
