
Radiology Certification for Dental Auxiliaries – June 2026
About This Event
This two-day course teaches essential concepts of dental radiology for dental assistants, consisting of a mandatory live lecture (June 4, 2026, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) and a choice of in-person clinics (half-day or full-day) on June 6–7, 2026 or Clinic E (full day) June 13, 2026 for New Hampshire certification. Topics include X-ray production and properties, radiation biology and protection, infection control, radiographic technique selection, film and sensor placement, film processing, mounting and duplication, panoramic radiograph evaluation, quality assurance, and error recognition and correction. MA clinic includes written exam and hands-on periapical and bitewing imaging on manikins with digital sensors; NH full-day clinic includes additional sensor/film placement and exposure training. The course meets the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Dentistry requirements; Clinic E meets New Hampshire requirements. All clinics held at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Participants must be 18+; course materials and exams are in English.
