About This Event
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for victims of all ages, including ventilation with a barrier device, bag‑valve‑mask, and oxygen; use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO). This course meets updated licensure requirements and is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients — certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
- Perform CPR for victims of all ages including ventilation with barrier device
- Use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Provide ventilation with a bag mask device and oxygen
- Recognize and relieve foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO)
- Meet updated requirements for healthcare provider licensure
