
Evidence-based Dentistry – Why Do I Need That?
About This Event
This course introduces the principles of evidence-based dentistry, how to develop, critically evaluate and implement scientific evidence into day-to-day practice, and how to apply these principles to decision making and advising patients on effective self-care in caries and periodontal disease prevention. Topics include evidence levels, the pyramid of evidence, critical evaluation of scientific evidence, decision making based on best available evidence, evidence behind prevention measures, and keys for long-term, evidence-based success of dental treatments.
